Inspections

Easy to Use Touch-Screen Inspection Program

ScanGuard is used in the campaign to reduce underage consumption of alcohol and tobacco products by providing ID checking capabilities. The application scans ID cards to determine legal age and validity of the card. The unit also retains a history of ID's scanned for inspector reference. WVABCA does not send non-inspection related ID information back to the ABC office.

Allows an inspector to quickly and easily complete an inspection.
 On-Screen Signature Capture Age Verification
Both signature and ID Scan during inpection provide positive identification.
 Portable Receipt Printer
Provides licensee with inspection receipt and inspector with a shift report.
Office Update
 Integrated Modem

ScanGuard is also used by WVABCA inspectors to perform routine inspections of licensed WVABCA establishments. The inspector collects information by scanning the WVABCA license and then records inspection problem areas on the display of the handheld unit. The signature of the person in charge of the business is captured on the handheld display using a special stylus. This signature becomes part of the inspection file.
